After college, Murphy spent two years working in in the American Express U.S. Represenative Network where he spent 50% of his time driving traditional group sales. Murphy left AMEX to take a role as Manager of Strategic Partnerships at Luggage Forward, the leading door-to-door luggage delivery company. It was during this time Murphy had the “Eureka” moment, in which he saw the ability to merge social media with his group travel background. A few months later, seed funding was raised and TripAlertz was formed.
